Just got word that we'll be playing without Brett Tonight

NO explanation given from Coach Christensens Twitter Account. Just that he can't play today and it will be Thompson starting for the pokes.

right... hopefully getting consistent reps over a whole game and we'll see what thompson can do. If we can just be good on offense and play great run defense like last week, we should still be in this game. I just havn't seen "good" offense without Brett this year.
 
I'm confused? Wish I knew why. I hate that I am not as excited as I used to be to watch Cowboy football. I used to sweat and get nervous and tell at anyone that came down to my man cave while the pokes played. I just don't have the same feeling. And it doesn't have to do with losing because I didn't feel this way in 2010. What the heck DC?? I feel like he is quoting on us before kickoff.

One of two things seem to have happened. EIther A. Brett has an injury that they thought would go away and it got worse or Smith got suspended for something late week (who knows what) but this hurts one way or another. I just havn't had any confidence in either back up this year. We better be able to run the ball this game...
 
I thought I read that Brett was having his arm attended to by trainers during one of the practices (can't remember if it was Gags or CST).

I am thinking this in injury, and not a suspension.
 
I have a hard time seeing us winning without Smith at QB. I hope we don't simplify it to much, because if we do Air Force will kill us.

I agree.
It's not so much as playing w/out brett.
It's not letting thompson do what he can do, or even if he CANT do it, letting DC see if thompson CAN try to do it.
 
I'm not surprised at all, Personally I think this is disciplinary action and I was pretty sure we would see it from the coaching staff if not from the conference. It can be written off as an injury but I don't buy it. I also don't buy that we can win with Thompson playing at backup.

Let me explain I think Thompson is more than capable to carry us to a win, but anything there is a backup in we play extremely conservative that is what will get us beat. This once again comes down to coaching staff not having faith in the players on the field.

I fear you may be right.

However, I hope this could be a 2010 CSU game. The season is down the shitter, and DC quits playing it so tight and we roll to a big win.

So I am going to say we win in a 44-0 route! :rofl:

That's crap. DC was just as mad about the ejection of him as anyone. It has to be concussion related. Heard a rumor earlier this week bout concussion related.

All I can say is at least we aren't getting beat on national TV every week, Teams like Auburn being a National Champion 2 years ago and now can't buy a win deserve the ESPN bottom 10 more than 100 times over than any team that has been there this year.

Fuck Dave Christensen. I'm in the War. Now I wish I hadn't driven up here. Thinking of just driving home now.
 
It may be multiple things. I just wish this team could get some wind under their sails. All we've needed has been that little push. But, we will see what happens now. If it's because of last week, I think we would've heard about it earlier. If it's injury we know DC states nothing. I'm going with undisclosed injury.
That being said, 2Dal! You got the game up yet?
