Holy wow defense! Yarbrough and Pelutasi were sack masters it seemed like!

Smith didn't even play that well and ended up with 4 TDs, 1 pick, and 295 yards.

Wick, is a beast. Fairly reliable as the workhorse. Then Miller can give him some rest, and Miller does work.

The lightning delay was interesting, and a lot of people left, then the rain made even more people leave.
But I can tell you that it was WAY more packed than I thought it would be. I didn't sit in the student section today, but was able to hear the student section fairly easily. The student section pretty much expanded and took over the entire lower half on the east side. It was packed!
Attendance should be good throughout the rest of the season.

And UNC, is going to get rocked. Badly.

I know. My 5 yr old son and I were listening and kept hearing his name. My son busted out, "I didn't know Fozzy Bear played for the Cowboys! Waac waca waca!" It was a good time.

I really like what the 1st team defense did. Wacha too. Wouldn't mind Wacha getting a little more weight, but no real complaints from me about him.

I have concerns about our secondary. When Idaho passed they would get yards on almost all of the plays. I think our front seven is very good, and a huge improvement from the last few years. I like Huff and Burns, but the other two scare me in the secondary. Also I think part of that is we play off coverage, and are open to the short passing game.

Doesn't help that Finley went down early against Nebraska and I think is out for the season, considering he was playing opposite of Burns.

I felt like they were fairly solid, esp in the first half.

They played soft coverage in the second half and we will continue to get better as we get more time in there. UNC is bad and AF doesnt throw so i guess we wont know for a little while

The lower half on the east side IS the student section.

Not in recent years it's not.
Normally just the 2 middle sections get filled and the rest are full of empty seats.

That means the students didn't fill it up, but the lower east side has been the student section for quite a while.

Yeah I know. That was my point. The students haven't filled it up for a long time.

I've seen it pretty full on occasion. It wasn't a very good showing for the student section against Idaho last Saturday though.

77 on the O line (Rains? I can't remember his name) SUCKS. Dude better man the fuck up in future games because he got lit up every play by guys much smaller than him :tickedoff:

it was a crazy day all around, the team started sluggish and a friend of mine in the student section(yes I'm too old to grow up), "that punting is interesting when it works, but if the game's on the line what if that stuff gets blocked in a close game etc..." I agree we really have to work on that stuff, hang em high(er). But Brett was high with his throws this game and there wasn't any wind affecting them. but I'm loving the balanced attack, the D so far so good. That lightning delay was a joke, there wasn't any thunder with those bolts, and they remained thruout the the game, i know safety but they didn't worry about the crowd much imo. what do ya think do we hang 70 on UNC
