I believe Shy when he says he will retire here. This is going to be good for Wyo. He should be able to get a raise for his assistants and a bump in the budget.

Assuming an extension is done and that Shyatt is not leaving, Burman better capitalize on the positive press. He better bang the drum that "We are fortunate and honored to have such a great mentor and teacher running our men's basketball program. It speaks volumes when the highest level of basketball also considers Coach Shyatt one the best coaches in the country. We are not extending him simply because of potential NBA jobs; we are extending him because, in our opinion, there is nobody else in the country who can better prepare our student athletes for a professional career in basketball or industry".

I don't know something like that. We need to get the message to recruits that even the NBA thinks Shy can develop talent.

I think Larry said something along the lines of the contract just needing final approval from the board.
