Josh Allen MVP!!!!

What are everyone’s thoughts on the $2 million Super Bowl ad spend? I’m so disinterested in this SB I may have to find it on Facebook or YouTube after the game.
I like the ad itself but I’m not sure we will get a return on investment for $2 million. It’s being shown in 25 markets that appear to be where we typically recruit for football (California, Utah, Colorado, Minnesota, Dallas and Houston). Wyoming has to do something to address the falling enrollments so maybe this will provide some boost idk.

What an awful decision. That 2 million could buy some real player talent. And yes, I realize the school can't directly contribute to NIL. But I really doubt celebrating a football qb who hasn't set foot on the campus in about 8 years is going to affect enrollment.

This probably comes out of the marketing budget rather than the athletic/NIL/CJC budget.. personally, I think this is brilliant. UW is doing a great job on capitalizing on this and not letting this opportunity go to waste to showcase the school.

It seems a tad desperate and clingy to me as well as a waste of money that could be used elsewhere to elevate athletics. Invested properly could return 100k annually or buyout PBJ.

If you're trying to attract students, I'm not sure the Super Bowl is the best bang for your buck for advertisement. You have a student demographic/area that you draw from and more efforts in those areas will likely return much more. If you are trying to attract athletes, spending money on ads is the old system. Spending money on the athletes is the new system. Recruit: "Hmm, 100k to go to csu or WYO? Well, WYO had that really cool commercial...".
