Josh Allen lacks poise.

I get up early because the goddamn wind sounds like it's going to blow the house down, and I have to read this bullshit thread title? Jesus. 2016 can't be over soon enough.

I'll give the thread a new title: "Josh Allen doesn't perform to perfection on every play. Neither does anyone else on the team. Neither has anyone else on any football team, ever. No football player in the history of the game has made all the right throws, blocks, tackles, reads, kicks, or cuts, because that is the nature of the game. It is especially hard to do everything perfectly on every snap because while you're trying to do it, giant, tough, fast guys on the other team are trying to break you in half. Therefore, what you look for is a guy with the tools, smarts and work ethic who gets it right the vast majority of the time, who is a leader, who other guys trust and look to...in other words, the kind of guy that, when the team is down by 17 fucking points with 9 minutes to go in a nationally-televised bowl game against a team of 25 year olds, and he's on the field, you think, "I don't know. This game isn't over.""

Would that thread title fit in that little box up there?
Love it!

I will say some criticism is warranted but I only wish he would completely lose the throws a toss his body. But you hit the nail on the head about josh getting us to the point where the throw hurt so much.

What a weird thread this is. The one and ONLY reason we won 8 games this year, played for a conference championship, played in a bowl game, and were within 6 points of winning BOTH was directly related to the play of Josh Allen. His poise is head and shoulder above most freshmen QB (I view him as a R-FR based on his play time) in the country and he will only get better. Did he make a couple of bone headed throws in very inopportune times? Yes. Did he make a lot of bone headed throws that turned into HUGE plays and will go down in Cowboy lore as some of the most insane plays eve have ever seen? Absolutely. You can't take one without the other. He will learn to recognize his spots and when its better to live to fight another down. Of the problems this team demonstrated this season Josh Allen's poise is at the bottom of the list.

I agree that this is a strange thread. J. Allen, as stated above, is the reason for the turn around. The improvement is due to a few more birthdays, a little bit more experience and a lot of Josh Allen.

Josh Allen has room to improve, yes, but he has ALL the tools that you can't teach. Rocket arm. Superior presence in the pocket. Tall. Strong. Fast. Natural leader.

I wouldn't trade Josh for literally any other QB. We should be thanking our lucky stars that we have Josh for at least one more year and that we have awesome coaches that brought him here.

Can we just kill this thread? It adds nothing to the discussion and is just a troll baiting everyone who cares on this board. It's either Dino or some sheep fan.

What utter rubbish. Allen has great poise and excellent vision. What he doesn't have is the game experience to realize WHERE he was in the game. It was first down. He didn't need to force a throw. In retrospect, He'll remember this game and that throw in the future. It's first down, rolling out scrambling and the guys he sees are covered. Throw the ball away. Perhaps because he hit some miracle throws this year, he thought he could make that throw. Experience helps you learn you aren't superman and despite his physical gifts, he needs to play with his head. Game time is his friend. This was his first season. He'll get better - a LOT better, which should make MWC teams shake in their boots.

This. The fact he made that throw on FIRST DOWN just sticks in my craw. Live to fight another play, Josh!!
