Why even bring this up ? Most comments about this topic are from people w/out a clue. Jordan went to WSU because she is majoring in medicine, wants to be a surgeon. Taran Brown was recruited by Shroyer. The program at the time was a mess. He got the offer from UCSB and signed early, before Shyatt was even hired. Have you been to Santa Barbara in Jan ? Me either, but I have been to Laramie. I would have been thrilled to have both these kids wearing the Brown/Gold, but it isn't about us, it's about what was best for them at the time.
As far as living in Gillette, bust our chops all you want, we have been kicking the haters asses for quite awhile. As a native of Wyo I have been bleesed to stay in state, raise a family, and give my kids all the opportunities that they could ever want to pursue because of the support for the kids in this community. GO POKES !!

I am sure she had her reasons, as did Taran, but neither's situation supports wyo4life's assertion that the University of Wyoming does not pay enough attention to CCHS athletes.

Back to the topic though: UW did recruit both of those athletes mentioned (from Gillette). Some folks beleived they were coerced to go elsewhere (rather than to UW) by their coaches / etc., in Gillette. Those same people are the ones that claim they were never recruited by UW.
Does it matter where they "go to school" to me? Not one bit. But don't slam UW & the UW coaches for "not recruiting" them, when it wasn't that way. Get it?
