He's definitely got the size and frame to be a force. Check it out...

Remember Craig Bohl said on signing day that any other signees would have to be difference makers. Hotckins looks like he can be a fullback difference maker. This guy looks like he could be a difference maker at defensive end.

Still, I thought Bohl needed linebackers, unless he has plans to play one of these guys at linebacker.

We have to be getting close to our scholarship limit. Is this 24 or 25 for class of 2014?

From the film he looks quick and strong but his pad level is WAY too high. Something that shouldn't take too long to fix. Give him a year with Duval and he could be a beast.

This isn't an early commit. It's a late commit. Those are his senior highlights. I agree though. 6'6" at defensive end, with athleticism, is a recipe for potential defensive end stud.

I came to that realization right after I posted it, went back and changed it quick, but you caught me.

No big deal. Hopefully, we can get us a difference maker at linebacker to add to this class.

Looks and sounds like a potential Patrick Chuckwurah! He's got my vote, especially if he can play like Chuckwurah.

That is unfair! I have never seen a 6-6 250 pound running back in my life. I bet some of the guys on defense said "Oh please don't run my way" Tackling this guy was tough, but it does show you what type of athleticism this guy has that he is able to play running back on offense and defensive end on defense.

The guy though is raw...but I have no doubt that he will get the type of coaching that will make him a special player at Wyoming.

He played runningback at 6'6? Jeez! Missed that part. I mean a 6'6 250lbs guy on offense is usually either a light weight o-linemen or tight end. But a runningback? As a DE though, I look forward to what they can do with him.

Kongbo will park his bull where ever he wants....

Later on in his video it showed him in the games as a running back and it wasn't just one play or one game. It was multiple games and plays as a running back. It was almost sad in a way to watch because it was like a man amongst boys. They had to swarm on him with multiple tacklers, almost like ants trying to bring down a praying mantis....the guys that did tackle him had courage that is for sure. But one play in particular stuck out. He was rushing the QB from his DE position and a (poor young guy) RB tried to block him and Jonathan just blew him up and pushed the RB into the QB and destroyed the pass play.

Seeing this young man line up in the backfield was like watching the Empire State Building sitting next to to a bunch of low level flats.

Again this kid is a project, that is for sure, but his athleticism is enormous and he has incredible potential. Technique wise he isn't close to playing at an FBS level, but he has such physical talent it is incredible. I hope that he is able to put it all together after he comes to Wyoming because he will be an animal.

A few thoughts:

This kid is definitely strong. Does a good job getting off his blocks and has great awareness of the play. They're going to have to work a lot on his quickness, though. This dude has a slow first step, which is a killer on the D line. He's a very solid tackler, but lacks explosion. I don't see many people getting away from him when he's got a hold of them, but it's concerning to see almost everyone that he tackled still standing up and driving before he dragged them down.

This kid's got a lot of upside as an every down defensive end, but I don't see him coming in this year and making any noise. Just from the eye test he's going to redshirt.

Agree, a project that will need some coaching and time. The competition he was up against was pretty bad. But like they say, you can't teach size.

With only one year of football under his belt, he seems like the type of guy you need to take your time with. I'm sure he'll get a redshirt.

Could be an incredible steal or a colossul bust...hoping this kid turns into a stud
Considering won't be recruiting with the big boys....or hell, even with the brass of the MWC anytime soon, I have no problem with Bohl taking a few gambles on talent here and there.
