The Rams play in-state rival CU on Saturday in Denver. First-year CSU coach Jim McElwain says the game isn’t just important for the two programs, it’s important for the state of Colorado.
“We’re the only two Division I programs in the state,” McElwain said. “I know that all these games, when you go up against a school, you are taking your conference with you. It’s great for our conference to show our strength."
The only two division 1 programs in the state of Colorado are CU and CSU? What about Air Force (which is in the SAME FUCKING CONFERENCE as McElwain's team)? Northern Colorado is a division 1 school (albeit FCS for football). DU may not have football, but all of their other university sponsored sports are D1. Looks like McEltard will fit right in in Fort Collins.

I see he brought his Alabama smarts with him... Air force is better than cu & csu. Show the falcons some respect lol

He is sure is confident in all his interviews. I know there is a lot of excitement around the stadium talk and his surprise hire, but he had better back up his talk. With that ridiculous schedule they have, 4 wins won't cut it.

How do you figure? I said D1 A, UNC is 1AA (fcs)
There is a nice little place in a town called Colorado Springs that also happens to be in the state of Colorado, that would be the Air Force Academy.
