Jerry Montgomery - Former DL Coach at UW

Congrats to him. I love success stories of people paying their dues and working their way up! If his goal is HC at the NFL level (or college) I hope he makes it!

Seems to be on the same career path as Marcus Arroyo. One year here, one year there, moving up the ranks without really doing anything.

Although Jerry has the skill, and gotten the results everywhere he has been.

That is a lot more typical for position coaches working their way up to a coordinator position. If you go look at the coaching history of a lot of head coaches today, you will see a lot of bouncing around when they were younger. Where these 2 differ is most coaches don't bounce around so much once they reach the level of OC or DC, Arroyo is obviously not in that situation.

Just check out Urban Meyer's history, a fair amount of bouncing around.

Very true. I wasn't trying to diminish what Jerry has done. I just wanted to point out the similarities.
