Jeremy Shyatt Tweet

So it sounds like it's not Aja-Grosky since he already had his visit. Wonder who it is.

I hadn't read this but it would seem then that Aja-Grosky is no longer in Wyoming's plans.

I have heard that Chris Shields, 6'-7", 185, Fr., guard from West Virginia was probably going to visit if Aja-Grosky didn't sign. I don't know a lot about Shields but he is a tall outside player who originally signed with Longwood, but has asked for and gotten his release after their coach was fired. This all happened fairly recently. The kid is originally from New Jersey but moved to West Virginia and was pretty well thought of.

Here is a link to Shields: http://hoopgroup.com/player-feature/hedgesville-w-v-rising-senior-chris-shields-seizes-opportunity-at-hoop-group/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I also found some info that he was being recruited by the following schools: Rhode Island, Appalachian State, Longwood, Hofstra, East Tennessee State, James Madison, Marshall, Robert Morris and Southern Mississippi. He plays AAU basketball for West Virginia but the reports that I read said that he was really skinny and will need to hit the weight room. Sounds kind of familiar with some of the past recruits that Coach Shyatt has brought in. I just hope that if he does come that he is willing to put the work in. I would be surprised if he didn't redshirt his first year at Wyoming, but who knows.

UW got their man in Williams

How bad did the Wyoming men’s basketball program want to sign 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward Tyrell Williams from Norland High in Miami, Florida?

Bad enough that once UW assistant coach Allen Edwards got the recruiting process started, the rest of the coaching staff followed.

Head coach Larry Shyatt made two trips to Miami to watch Williams play, and to also meet with Williams and his mother. Assistant coaches Scott Duncan and Jeremy Shyatt also made trips to Miami.

Miami's Tyrell Williams Signs with Wyoming Basketball
6-8, 225-Pound Power Forward Led Norland High School to Three State Titles

"Tyrell is a terrific young player that fits what we have been trying to build this program on for the past three seasons," Shyatt said. "He is someone who has a strong desire to be part of a winning culture and is willing to be a part of that process. What stimulated our interest in him was our trust and relationship with his coach, Lawton Williams. [Assistant coach] Allen Edward's reputation and background in southern Florida is second to none and that fortunately sent [assistant coach] Jeremy [Shyatt] to watch Tyrell in this year's state tournament. However, once we met Tyrell and his mother, LaShante Gay, in her home and on our campus, we knew he would be a great addition for the Cowboys."

UW men's basketball adds size with Miami prep forward

More size inside was a priority for the University of Wyoming men’s basketball team with two scholarships available in the spring signing period.

It addressed that need Tuesday with the signing of 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward Tyrell Williams from Norland High in Miami.

Could this be another cryptic tweet from Jeremy? Aja-Gorsky making a decision?

Jeremy is getting easy to figure out:

Does anyone else think Sellers is going to graduate and leave the team allowing Shields to also be signed?

There has been no indications from the players or coaches that he will...just message board speculation so far.

Cool. Just wondering, Sellers seems to be a good teammate but needs to develop A LOT! And he only has a year left.
