I was thinking the same thing. Give him one more year of growth and learning the system and turn him loose next fall. We have plenty of guards who, on paper atleast, should be able to carry us. I look for big improvements in Liebs, Trey, and Aka Gorski. I think if we can reliably get 20 a game from that trio, we'll be just fine.joshvanklomp said:With Lieberman and Washington, we might be able to get away with redshirting Conway

Well since Shyatt leaves all redshirt decisions up to the player, obviously that's going to be the case. However, it may be what's most beneficial for his career.BeaverPoke said:Unless Conway is wanting to red-shirt I don't think we do it.
Yeah, that definitely makes it more likely Conway suits up.cali2wyo said:Conway is quoted as saying he'll academically be a sophomore this fall. If he redshirts, he could potentially complete his bachelor's degree before his junior year. I can't speculate what anyone would do in that situation, but it may be difficult for him to continue playing for 2 years after graduating, especially with Conway's law school ambitions.

With that said, I think he could provide great point guard depth this year to let Adams play a little more off the ball
Umm... That's what I said. Graduate before his junior year, even monkey boy understood me.BeaverPoke said:If he is academically going to be a sophomore, and redshirts, then when he is playing his freshman season he will be a JR in the classroom. Sophomore=Sr.
Maybe you're the one who needs to pump his brakes. I'm talking about a decision that needs to be made in a few months and I brought up some factors that could potentially influence the decision. You're speculating about what might happen in 3 years time with a guy who hasn't played a minute of college ball.BeaverPoke said:UW has a law school, and a good one I believe.
There's always the fear he could be an emerging star and transfer to play immediately for someone else for his final 2 seasons as a grad student.
That makes sense, but law school is freaking rough. Some friends of mine who have gone through it at UW said it was extremely difficult to even hold a part time job those 3 years. I can't imagine how difficult it would be for a student athlete. That was what the end of my paragraph was getting at.BeaverPoke said:But there is the possibility of him getting 2 of his years in Law School under scholarship at Wyo as a JR and SR on the court.
Doesn't that make sense as well?
