Jeff Tedford being hired at Fresno State

Interesting hire. The gang-banger fan base in Fresno is pretty split on the decision. I think he will turn out to be a pretty decent hire. A 6 - 9 win every year kind of guy, with an occasional 10+ type season (and more if he finds another Aaron Rodgers).

He was one of the top 5 on my list when Burman hired 'ol Bohly here at UW.
 
Not a bad hire. I don't think they could have gotten Kiffen, Miles or someone like that with the state of their program. It was either hire Tedford or an unproven up-and-comer.

I think they may have been able to land Miles...as long as Fresno would pay (especially the assistants). My only concern with Tedford at this point, is that he is basically 5 years removed from the college level of football (for the most part - he is a "consultant" with Washington right now - but that could mean he gets to pick out the flavor of coffee for the Kcup machine).

the problem is the fresno gang banger community has more money at this point than our great area gives them a long term advantage .... plus just as in colorado pot is legal ... hopefully it will make them sleepy

Just dawned on me....we play Fresno each of the next two years, including Allen's senior season in Fresno. Gives him a little extra reason to stay around for four years, even though it's a different coaching staff.

Ha ha, the whiny Rammers are saying the same with some of our Colorado recruits. That's too funny. Allens impressing folks. Just like Hill - overlooked. I give Bohls group a lot of credit for the ability to spot talent.
