The sports radio guys here in Utah don't think he will play QB at Utah but probably switch to defense. I listened to both the press conference when DC was introduced and an interview with Whittingham and neither mentioned Jason at all.

I don't fault Thompson's logic one bit or loyalty one bit. He got recruited by DC to play in DC's offense. He is now following DC to another program. That IS loyalty.

He just saw the guy he worked under for a couple years get projected to go in the 2nd round of the draft running his coach's offense. He obviously wants the same goal, the NFL. He sees DC as his ticket in.

agree...no ill will toward either him or former coach.....we fired him so what loyalty would he have? :twocents:

So let's get this straight (if the radio guys are correct): Thompson passed on a PAC-12 scholarship to play DB at home-state Washington in order to fulfill his dream of playing D-1 QB under Christensen at Wyoming. He was potentially a three-year starter at QB here, but decides to go to PAC-12 near-cellar-dwellin' Utah to play.......DB.

Whittingham/Christensen/Erickson......what a trio.

I don't know about that. JT was recruited (and originally was going to go) to Washington as a DB until Mr. Blinksalotcockyfuck offered him a scholly to play QB - something JT wanted to do more (play QB).

That, and it would be a bad move if Whittingass and Blinkyfuck made a statement about a transfer when he hasn't cleared yet, and there is potential tampering.

Well, as you can see, we're in the middle of a meltdown. Otherwise, terrific! Thoughts on DC headed to Utah? Think he'll get complete control of the offense w/ Erickson and Johnson?

According to Vorel, Bohl was surprised by the news that Thompson had left. Interesting.

A little worried....very much getting the vibe that Bohl's mind was 75% NDSU/25% Wyoming this last month.

As well it should have been. His season wasn't over yet. I know that if I was an NDSU fan I would want him more focused on winning out than what was going on in Laramie. If not why bother staying?

I think the majority of us are waiting to see how this will all play out. Erickson is saying all the right things, and Johnson is keeping quiet. His agent went off on a twitter rant after DC was hired but has been quiet since. It'll be interesting to see how DC does with 3 former Utah Offensive Coordinators on his staff.

Yeah. You occasionally here of 2 coordinators, but 3? And one that was just fired for being incompetant at making ANY adjustments for 5 years? AND being put at top over 2 other guys that were already there? opcorn:
