It's too damned quiet!

I listened to the SportsZone out of Cheyenne last night, and Dave Montgomery (who usually has pretty good connections and info) said that he couldn't get anything out of any of his usual connections at UW. He said he couldn't even find out if Burman was in town or not.

Sounds like they have this buttoned up pretty tight over there. That, or Burman is waiting for a few other chips to fall into place. Maybe the guy he wants is playing in a bowl game or something??

I agree though, I really want to know what's happening.

He better not be waiting on a bowl game to make a hire. That hasn't stopped USC, Washington, etc.
 
It's a bad sign. It means that the leading candidates that Burman wants are holding out to see if they can get anything better first.
 
Agreed it is not a good sign if you are wanting some coach with somewhat of a name like a Tedford in our case.

We are probably going to end up with someone that most of us don't expect or want. We will have to hope it works out for the best. Thinking we might end up with Gilmore or Spack which neither are going to be worth a damn honestly and you won't convince me otherwise until they come in here and prove me wrong.
 
Everyone's really just waiting to see what happens at Texas. A change there would precipitate some serious movement.
 
Yep. This is a really bad sign we've not heard anything. If a hire is not announced on Monday, we're fucking screwed.
 
Someone on the other board heard from a semi-reliable, unnamed source that there will be a press's conference at Wildcatter on Sunday.

Who the hell has a press conference at 7 pm on a Sunday?
 
Mike Vorel mentioned on twitter that his sources say something will be announced early next week, doesn't know anything about Sunday.
 
Well we know for sure that Burman has left town. And we know for certain the MAC championship game is tonight. 2+2 = perhaps? :idea:

How do "we" know Burman is out of town? I don't see any State aircraft activity, unless he's going by commercial means.
