...at least in Ft. Worth it's still football season
TCU Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson is not thinking about BCS (M. Mayer - Star-Telegram
Interesting blurb from Coacheshotseat
5. Joe Glenn, Wyoming – Joe Glenn and his Cowboys had a bye this past Saturday and the sad thing is that the past week was the best one all season for Wyoming. Hey, Joe Glenn is a good football coach, but the Mountain West Conference has been totally transformed in his 6 seasons at Wyoming and right now the Cowboys just do not have the talent on their roster to play against the top half of the MWC conference. It is very hard to recruit top players to Wyoming, but as we watch Glenn’s Cowboys team play we do not see a whole lot of I-A players. If Wyoming had joined the I-AA Big Sky conference before the ’08 season, we would have probably made them co-favorites with Glenn’s last team Montana, and that fact gets right to the heart of the problem at Wyoming. How did we come up with that Wyoming in the Big Sky conference observation? Wyoming barely beat earlier this season I-AA North Dakota State, and NDS is now 3-4 and in SEVENTH PLACE in the Missouri Valley Conference. Yes, there are some problems at Wyoming, and Joe Glenn knows there are some serious problems at Wyoming. Hey, we think Joe Glenn would be great as a football TV analyst, so get your agent on the phone Joe!
