I don't think I've ever been preachy about NDSU.

Like I said, I think I've already watched more UW games than I ever have watched of NDSU. And I was a student at NDSU for one year when Bohl was there. I watched a couple of minutes of the Montana game a week ago, but I didn't make it a point to watch the game like I have for UW games.

Still don't know why I'm lumped in as a NDSU fan...just because I'm from Minnesota and not Wyoming?

I think it's fair to say you're a pretty big Bohl fan. The point remains the same, it gets somewhat annoying at times when it seems like Bohl walks on water according to some. Not prone to human mistakes. Not saying that's only on you, of course. I see NDSU fans on their forum making like Wyoming is 100% at fault for all issues that occur and Bohl is faultless, and it spills over here sometimes. That kind of stuff is annoying.

Not you in particular, but NDSU fans in general. Because when we first got Bohl, all we heard was about how great NDSU is. And from lakesbison, particularly on the MWC board, we still hear about it.

Why not drop down to FCS for football and focus on basketball? At least we have some success in that sport. Wyoming football is not rebuilding. It is what it is. And what it is is a poor, and once in a while middling program. That's all it's ever going to be. The proof is in the pudding.

After the past 2 or 3 decades, I'm not sure it is accurate to describe a group of people who still cheer for Wyoming football as bandwagon. There are certainly a few NDSU folks that could be accurately described as such, but everyone else? Nah, bandwagon doesn't describe it.

I don't think Wyoming has many bandwagon fans. Its pretty cool that we can get 20k+ hardcore fans at the stadium as much as we do.

I hung out with a Uw fan from Lincoln Saturday. That fan that posts herein every so often never lived in Wyoming. He never went to UW. He is a true fan that drove 8+ hours to Laramie. ALL you NDSU fans are welcomed, in fact count me in as a NDSU fan as well and I hope to make it to a game there.

I didn't say they weren't welcome. I said they would be the only ones that could be defined as bandwagon. If something doesn't work with Bohl, they'll be gone. They are Bohl fans and certainly welcome.

I have a few on ignore that like how to coach us on how to be real fans....after their whole 2 years of loyalty :rofl:

If Bohl is no longer our coach, they will no longer be fans. Pretty simple and classic bandwagon. They are more than welcome, but I always take what they say with a grain of salt. I am a fan of Bohl because he is our coach; they are a fan of WYO because Bohl is our coach. Not that big of deal, but certainly skews their viewpoints, IMO, which is why I ignore them. Especially the ones who like to tell us what real fans are. The irony is humorous, however.

Put it this way and I know this wouldn't happen, but if Bohl somehow magically transferred to CSU tomorrow, they would follow him there.

Just another example. Not defending from these programs. The proof is in each programs overall history.
We are simply low side middle of the pack out of ALL FBS schools. We are not one of the worst. Far from it actually. Which is why talk of dropping to FCS is silly.

Really, only the BCS era matters. Hell, if the Ivy League schools were the team to beat, I'm pretty sure it is irrelevant to today's standards. Kansas is correct, we aren't the worst program of the BCS era. He is incorrect in that we are actually bottom 1/4th not low side of 1/2. We are ranked 93rd out of 120 based on win percentage.

Well, tell you what- if you're willing to step up and fill the financial sinkhole that will open up under UW Athletics- when all the big sponsors pull, when 70% of the donors disappear, when the millions we currently get from our TV contract evaporate, when the War considers 8,000 fans an unqualified success, then yeah, I'm good with the drop to FCS.

We obviously agree. Like I said, I just take what they say with a grain of salt relative to Bohl realizing that their primary fandom rests with Bohl. Being a Niner fan, I equate it to discussing QB play with the Kaperdink fanboys whom I also largely ignore.
