Isn't it time for the fans of the FCS teams on our schedule

IN the Weber game our D went into prevent mode and quit blitzing almost the entire second half. That allowed them back into the game. Had the D stayed aggressive with the starters in we would have won going away.

Weber did almost beat CSU though
Plus, that Weber team was loaded with D2 studs. I remember their QB was highly ranked, same with their RB, and their stud WR from that year was drafted.

Regardless, the game wasn't that close as many have mentioned. It took a couple big plays from them late to make it close.

Weber is NOT D2. They're FCS, or formally what was called 1AA. Division 2 is completely different.

Yup your right :finger:

Yes, I am right, but why are you flipping me off?

Nothing personal but D-1AA - D2, same s##t different pile

Don't we get pissy when someone from the ESPN or fan of a school back east says we are in the WAC. There is a major difference between D2 and FCS. That said we still win big.

To show up talking about how bad they're going to beat us? They normally show up about now.

whaaazup? my first post, its only early july though. i had no issues on this forum 2 yrs ago. mostly respectable fans toward each other.

personally i wish there was a way to get out of this game. i hate these fbs money games. all they do is schedule us far far away from playoff hopes. i dont want to play any fbs, i could care less if it is a "winnable" game. its basically a lose-lose so we might as well be scheduling florida and get a million for the loss. a low money game pay out is even worse. dont care if its bus distance.

i wish weber could do like montana state, 1 money game is just right. we need the money but we dont need 2 losses.

we had the ball with 1 minute to go last time in laramie, i was there, hoping to tie the game up but lost 29-22. a loss is a loss. doenst matter if we lose by 1 like we did at colorado state or by 50 like we did at texas tech last yr. no reason to keep playing so many of these games.

Just as TSpoke said, there's a major difference between 1AA and D2. Especially in the Big SKy. I would say the top of the Big Sky would beat the bottom of the MWC.

fbs teams thinking they are playing dII is just another reason why these games are so pointless for both sides. this is no knock to wyo, most fbs schools think fcs is DII. afterall it is a confusing division. would be cool if the ncaa would ban games played between fcs and fbs. 12 games is such a short schedule. every game is so important. when florida won the national title and had a fcs win against the citadel that was pretty cheap of them. it was like they played one less game. so one less chance to lose.

ncaa should make fcs wins an automatic disqualifer from getting to a bcs championship.

im sure most fbs fans didn't realize not all fcs fans want to see these games.

I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately the economics of it for both sides makes it unlikely.

Weber's had a big problem the last couple years (or more) with scheduling so many FBS teams that they have a rough road to the playoffs.. similar when FCS teams schedule a FBS and D2 in the same year.. makes it tough to get a playoff spot since D2 wins don't count towards playoffs. Weber probably would have been a low seed playoff team last year had it not been for two FBS games.

Or one could go to BobcatFans.com and do some talkin'.
I am here now but unfortunately I and most likely no other Bobcats will be here to talk trash. Also, you will waste your time on Bobcatfans as it is basically a dead site. Bobcatreport.com is where everyone migrated to. It is a great site with less moderation(i.e. possibility of some nudity and vulgar language). As long as you are not a complete ass you will be welcomed with open arms.

Hey fatcat. I noticed not long after I said that that the new place to go was bobcatreport.com.
I haven't been there yet.

It's a decent board with a lot of good information if you register you can get in the war room. Brent and the other folks who run the board get a lot of good information. Many on the WAC board have been using it as a way to get information on all of this conference realignment talk. I am hoping with our move to the WAC next year that we will be seeing each other more often. We have already had a few (at least one) Wyoming fan over on our board.

Up to you how you want to be received over there though. You can come in and have some fun and be accepted or you can be like a UTSA fan and be hated immediately. So far, I haven't seen any reason to believe any of your fans would have any issues over on BR.

I think Weber has 2 big problems:

1. It is located in Utard
2. They focus too much on non-revenue crap (like cheerleading, men's tennis, softball, etc.)

Just look at that huge crowd:
