Is the Shyatt contract finalized

Just finished listening to the Shy interview on the Sportszone.

This was all about the security of the staff and increasing the operations budget. He didn't get into what those other operations budget items are, but we all can imagine that recruiting and scheduling needed a little help.

He sounds like a guy that's really appreciative of what Wyoming has to offer him. He likes the situation he's in at Wyoming, and the ability to turn two star kids into champions and NBA players.

He mentioned several times how he wants to do it again. There might be more trophies coming soon.

It was a very good interview and it is a very good day to be a Cowboy fan.

We're soooooooo lucky to have Shy on the warpath! Can't believe he's come back in this way. Dude was serious about everything he had to say about his return. Stuck to his guns and rejuvenated our proud program. He has built it and they will come! Lets gooooo POKES! Let's win some more championships! So happy just to be a competitive program in the MWC again.

But again, i fault UW for not wanting to do everything in it's power to keep this coaching staff happy and intact, afterall a 13 year hiatus going to the big dance etc, this coaching staff is truly miracle workers for this region of the country, I'm sure the team he probably took the job with is the Lakers, after all Larry's been in recruiting for Kupchak's son, of which we lost out on, then i'm sure it played some help with Larry Nance Jr getting drafted by the Lakers, afterall Papa Shyatt went out there for Larry Jr's press conference etc...they say he was offered the job did that mean he had to go out there and tell them he declined but thanx for drafting Larry etc.. and another thing if it was with the Spurs, as he used to be a scout and has a great relationship with Pop at S.A. They say Donovan had his staff in place so i don't think it was with OKC.
I just love how everyone said there's NO way Papa Shy would EVER leave, man he sure tested the waters, and I am glad we got him to stay, it's good that we got some more $ for the coaches and uped the budget etc..but never feel safe that regardless anyone says this is their last "college" job, I don't care who you are the NBA comes calling you really, really have to weigh those options, which is what we just saw.
Burman realize you don't know what you got til it's gone, now we'll see how this upcoming season goes, not expecting another NCAA tourney but I do expect good things outta this young team, now it's on to focus of what this Football team can do for 2015. GO POKES

Shyatt was being nice and listened to what his old boss and friend had to say. I doubt he ever had intentions to coach in the NBA. If he did, he would have taken the offer.

So naive.
