I don't think Shy wants a late freshman signee, but rather a fifth year senior. That way he has 2 open scholarships for 2016 class, a class that is loaded with high quality kids like Bassett, Peters and Diallo.

One comes with a ticket to the dance and the other doesn't. IMO, the season champ is much tougher to achieve. But, the tourney champ gets all the love.WestWYOPoke said:And to be precise, it isn't a MWC championship, it's a MWC Tournament Championship; to many, there is a significant difference between the two.
Why not both?WestWYOPoke said:Very true...fortunately, our conference is typically strong enough that winning the season title will all but guarantee a ticket to the dance. With that in mind, I would rather win the season title than the tourney title; as you said, it is the tougher of the two to achieve.

This. I can remember years past making fun of schools that called the tournament championship the MWC title. Now we are doing the same. Its the tournament championship. BVery good accomplishment and is considered a championship but it is not the MWC championship. That is earned in January and February and is a much bigger accomplishment. I want to win another one of these soon.
