Is ESPN behind realignment?

Two articles, I haven't read them yet, but they look interesting.

I find this little bit interesting. What's your guys' opinion on this? Would you rather have a Tuesday or Wednesday night game on ESPN occasionally, or almost every game every weekend on the mtn?

Even so, Mountain West Commissioner Craig Thompson says, "There was a football coach in our league who said, 'I'd rather play one Tuesday or Wednesday game a year on ESPN than all 12 on Versus, CBS Sports (Network) and The Mountain.'
"I said, 'That's ludicrous.' But that's what coaches think because kids watch ESPN."

honestly....if it were on legitimate espn or espn2 (not espnu or espn 8 "the ocho") i wouldn't mind a weeknight game once a year, as long as it doesn't mean dissolving the mtn

Probably Peterson of BSU would be my guess. All I've heard from most BSU fans is how much they hate the mtn. and how much they miss playing middle of the week games on ESPN.

No thank you. I like Wyoming playing on Saturdays with the occasional Thrusday night game thrown in. Whichever coach said that can kiss my ass.

Our fan base is spread out over such a large area and with the weather we have, playing mid week and late games would kill attendance. Even having late espn games like we used to do, would not have any fans east of the Mississippi watching on espn because they would be in bed.

When I lived in Laramie I went to every home game for Football, Basketball, & Womens B-ball. Now that I live over six hours away I can't get to the games. I love the MTN. Ask yourself how many times were we on TV before the MTN? Maybe one or two football games a year and a handful of mens basketball games and no womens games.

Now I see every Wyoming conference football game and almost all the basketball games and about 5 girls games. I would rather have the MTN.

If they could work out a deal where we could get big games on ESPN or CBS but still have the MTN for the other games I would be all for it. As long as we didn't have a game every week on a Wednesday and not on the "Ocho" either ESPN or ESPN2. I would want a limit to one non Saturday game a year for football.
