Supposedly, the most accurate pre-season magazine the last 13 years according to Phil Steele's 2011 College Football Review, which came out recently and had some interesting items on the Pokes and the rest of the conference. I always pick up Steele's book and generally feel like this guy is the best out there as he seems to put some genuine research effort into the teams and doesn't just go off of other rankings.
Some interesting items:
1) He has 1) BSU 2) TCU 3) AFA 4) CSEWE 5) SDSU 6) POKES we will be flirting with the post-season and might attain a bowl. He has the Sheep as one of his most improved teams in the country.
2) Has Biezuins, Gipson, and Hendricks on the 2nd team Preseason All-MWC, AA, G. Knapton and Hutchins on the third.
3) Likes Brett Smith and projects him the starter and has him rated the #57 QB in the country in 2011. He is ranked the 3rd highest incoming QB in the MWC behind TCU's D. Merka #48 and BSU's Jimmy Laughrea #55. Adam Pittser is projected as #3 on the depth chart (I think he will start the season #2) and has him rated as the # 86 ranked incoming QB. He also goes on to say that he believes our young QB's will be better than most believe they will. I agree 100%. :thumb: Go Pokes!
