In NCAA Football (game doesn't matter) what's the point of..

The QB Wrap play? Of all the times I've tried it, I think I've gotten postive yards once. Well, twice, but the other time was by sheer luck (pitched it at just the right time and the RB got it for a few yards). Unless it's the read option version, it tends to blow up, badly.

The wrap n read option are my favorite to run cause they are difficult to gain yards. Ill run it 10 roughly and ill have 3-5 positive yardage runs. And usually one for at least 10

I'm lucky to get 1yd. The unblocked D-linemen will almost always get either my QB or RB in the backfield. I like the read option (except when you know the D is loading up to stop it), but the wrap is more of a play that the defense WANTS you to run, rather than what the offense does.

You can break off some big plays with that play if you read the D end correctly. You have to set it up with the pass first, though.

Wrap plays and Read options in the game are broken. Don't waste a play running these. Even when making the correct read with the read option your usually not going to get positive yardage. I find screens, draws, and counters to be extremely effective in this years game.

Sometimes the reads blow up, but I found that they can also work REALLY well.

Yeah every now and then I can get a big gain out of the read option but not enough to warrant running it very much. Kinda like Wyomings offense this year, it was usually a loss but every now and then we got a big gain out of it lol
