"Senior Devyn Harris or junior Jordan Stanton will compete in practice for the start at middle linebacker. Stanton came off the bench and had eight tackles at Nebraska. Harris had seven. Christensen said both will play against Idaho."

From what I remember he stuffed the run between the tackles well, but Devyn stood out by preventing TM from getting the first down on the scramble to the right. Depth is always good. I think we missed Harris last year after he was injured vs Texas. Siosi filled in well, but we missed an extra backer with experience.

Devyn is a man, man. No doubt. After hearing & seeing basically nothing in the fall practices from Stanton, I was impressed by his play. 6-0, 246 and has game speed. :shock:

Devyn is a decent sized linebacker as well (6'2" 240lbs). Both look good, is there any chance Harris gets a medical red shirt for last year?

I think there is a chance but have no idea how good of a chance. I don't think he will find out until after the season. I heard him say in an interview kind of of handed "this could be my last year playing football here so I need to make the most of it" or something like that. So to me that means there is a chance.

If that was the case, I don't know why he wouldn't get the M-RS.

I'm 99.9% sure he left the Texas field on crutches, and didn't play the rest of the year. Heck he might have even been injured in the first half.
