Burman was right, UW is much, much more competitive now, without TCU, bWHYu, and Utah in the MWC. Wait, what?

:willybs:

Haha I've always wondered how Glenn felt about all of this. Of course he gets canned and THEN the conference gets much weaker.

Utah and TCU are making more money now in bigger conferences, but do you really think they are happy with their decision? Both are 1-4 in their respective conferences and completely irrelevant in the college football world.

They got way more recognition when they were in the MWC.

Trust me they are.

Agree. I can think of 25 million reasons why - athletically - they are much happier. Further, all of their programs, & most importantly the university as a whole, is reaping huge rewards from their move.

Hahaha, my brother goes to Utah, and he said their campus has so much newer and nicer shit than they ever had.
Remember, winning 6 games in the Pac12 probably gets the more money than winning 10 games in the MWC.
Their conference TV deals pump money into their program.
They are WAY happier now in the Pac12. Even being mediocre. They love it.

They can't love being mediocre when they haven't reached that point, They are just as irrelevant in Football as Wyoming.

Yeah, some of the remaining Utah players are wishing they would win more. All their momentum from the Stanford game is gone.

TCU is also feeling it, but they're still reeling from losing so much of their 2 and 3 deep from the drug incident last year.

TCU though is kinda similar to Boise......playing a TON of Freshman and young players. Utah on the other hand, just seems to stink altogether. Youth is not the excuse.

But I sure hope they're enjoying that money.....cause both schools are struggling on the field. TCU will recover though.....not sure about Utah. On the field anyway......TCU's attendance woes are Miami-esque.

Yet they can actually beat Utah State and BYU, and a ranked team. And make 10X as much money as we do.

So uhh yeah they are totally irrelevant.

Nothing you said changes how relevant they are in College Football the only thing that changes that is the Win Loss column in which they are just as bad as Wyoming.

The fact they are in the Pac12 shows they are more relevant. The fact they got national airtime for beating a top 5 team shows they are more relevant.
Not only that but like I said about k-state in the big12, 4-4 in the pac12 is better than 4-4 in the MWC.
Utah is in a much better spot than Wyoming. They are a BCS team, and we have some of our die hard fans calling for a move to FCS. You really think Utah is down on our level in terms irrelevancy?
One more thing, in the last 10 years Utah has won 2 BCS Bowls. We've won 2 regular bowls.
