Interestingly, if byu had stayed, they would be a near lock for the G5 Access spot. If they had 4 strong OOC games, they would be in discussion for the playoff.

Well. as it stands, a crappy Houston team took them to the wire, and BYU has no clause letting them play for an access bowl. And with their weak SOS, it would take a miracle for the committee to even consider them for the play offs, and that's IF they go undefeated.
