Who would you hire (realistically) to be the head coach, OC, and DC?

Obviously Nick Saban isn't coming here, and Christensen isn't going to stay to be an OC here.

HC: Michigan States D-Coordinator
OC: Oregon States O-Coordinator
DC: BYU D-Coordinator

Defensive head coach, with another very good D-Coordinator on the staff, along with a good OC.

I think that's the problem. This A.D. might not be the guy we want to make that hire. I think it's about time to clean house. With the new president in place, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

I've not only lost faith in DC, I've lost faith in Burman.

I'm hoping Sternberg has some Okie connections that can help us turn this thing around.

+1 I hope Sternberg can turn this ship around 'cos right now it's acting like the Titanic.

Christensen will not be fired this year even if we lose out. Money

I don't think that money is going to be that big of a deal. It still looks like we're going to get two games on ESPN/ESPN2 regardless of our pathetic performance. Fresno Wyoming is going to a big network and ESPN almost has to broadcast the Boise Wyoming game on ESPN/ESPN 2 due to contract obligations.

We're likely to get 1 million in bonus money from the t.v. contract this year. I think Nowhere Poke posted the buyout at about 600,000.

I just think thar he'll get smiths senior season. If we don't turn around, it will be laid down before next season.

For whatever it might be worth, on my radio show earlier this year, I asked Tom Burman to categorize this season for Dave Christensen.

Burman conceded that; "this is a big year for Dave".

Holy hell people...I just wanted some theoretical hires....Not anything about the president, money, and DC...
Who would you hire to coach the pokes???

Lane Kiffin

Lol...really?
I don't know if you're joking, or being serious.
Who knows, Kiffin might be in line for a MWC job after his latest stops.

Hell NO to Lane Kiffin. I don't know what that cancer has done to earn any head coaching job; regardless, we need to have standards and not be hiring slimeballs.

Haha half joking.

We would get some national attention from it. But in all honesty Craig Bohl from NDSU wouldn't be bad...

We'd have a coach with a personality at least and if he brings his dad, we'd have a defense.

He was able to recruit pretty well considering his time at USC he had limited scholarships and could promise the recruits zero chance of a bolw game. Plus he competed well in one of the toughest conferences with less scholarshipped players.

Having said that, even with all winning seasons, he wasn't taking the program where it wanted to be. Plus I don't think he'd be a good fit for Wyoming. We need some Cowboy Tough guy to "build the brand"!

+1000!

Burman shouldnt even be in the same town when they pull the trigger on this one..we need a new vision and a new plan, and today isnt too damn soon to start. Hope Sternberg means what he says and turns Burman out of the corral this week.
if el presidente puts his money where his mouth is.... then the storm breaks just beyond this gulley boys-I gotta believe it does,, we just gotta hang tough, hang together and just keep em headed up hill till we get a new trail boss

but if Sternberg is just another politickin gassbag who was making nice about his vision for athletics for the papers,,,if he lacks the savvy or sand to make that happen... then we better hunker down in our slickers boys, it's gonna be a nonstop gulleywasher and we are on the backside of the herd

I agree.

Are you both sure about that. Yup he's built a good program at the FCS level. He's a top coach there and a championship contender.
Sounds eerily familiar:

Joe Glenn. He had Montana going strong and winning championships. What happened with him? One winning season. Terrible offense, and an okay D. He was constantly accused of bringing in FCS quality recruits. Do you want to risk that again?

Coach Hauck at UNLV...He kept the winning dynasty going at Montana, and we know what's going on in Vegas?

Rohl: built a dynasty in Dakota. Everyone is going to look at the close upset win over K-St, but really, look at KSU this year.

Point is, we hire this guy we will probably have nothing more than continued mediocrity. But hey, you wanted him.
