All the vanilla play calling and horrible decisions that DC has made this year all totaled up doesnt even come close to chicken shit display he put on the last 8 minutes of the Reno game. He completely changed the plays being called to prevent offense plays. On top of that Crap-gaard was at the helm. THEN, he took a knee on third down, with a minute left, when we weren't THAT far from field goal distance. That was the most embarrassing display of football I've seen in my 26 year cowboy fandom. I think the TCU home game was equally repulsive. In that game we had a chance to knock off a ranked TCU team and DC decided to keep the score close rather than actually try to win the game.
There is no way DC gets fired. With our current financial situation, absolutely NO WAY. One thing that is going overlooked is the game preparation. The coaches really did put in a pretty good game plan. There is a reason we were 17.5 dogs to Nevada.
Am I a DC supporter? NO WAY, because he never puts faith in his players and seems to be more concerned with himself. Does he deserved to be fired for the Reno game? No.
We all know that the reason we will be able to compete with any team in the conference is not DC, but rather Brett Smith. We just don't have a capable backup. Thompson needs a lot of work with his throwing and how Kirkegaard was recruited to any school (including D2) is beyond me.

he is the most inept quarter back I have ever seen. I watch a decent amount of high school games and even these young QBs look like they could make plays he can't....Like turn the right way on a hand off.....after a time out....on the biggest play of the season......OrediggerPoke said:

I don't think we know that for sure. Tedder Easton (a walk-on with no prior game experience) was in the backfield. It appears that Kirkegaard turned the wrong way, but I couldnt tell who was wrong.
