What is the point? Just going to a bowl game? Humbug. Sure it is better than sitting at home (unless going to a bowl game actually costs the school money), but it isn't close to being special like it was in the 60's, 70's, 80's, and even part of the 90's.

And you think 21-9 and the NIT is ok for the basketball team this year? Why not 28-2, 31-2 with a MWC tourney championship and rip UCLA 113-62 in the NCAA final game?

Using this logic it is either win MWC championships or only a begrudging acceptance of anything resembling success. No wonder why some who sucscribe to that perspective think that UW could drop to division II and win every championship with only Wyoming high school kids on the roster.

Actually I agree - I want to see us compete for championships and not think playing around .500 ball is a successful program.

This year, yep, I think it is ok to finish 21-9 and get an NIT bid. Heath did inherit a effing mess from Buckymac, so I gave him Carte Blanche for a couple of seasons. If we don't compete for the crown next year, then we can discuss acceptance for mediocrity. We may not win it, but we should compete.
