If Smith did declare for the draft...

We all know that he has looked not so good in some games this season.
But an NFL scout would easily be able to tell that the Pokes were running the same 5 plays all season, and that the offense never made any adjustments.

Scouts don't care about college wins and losses. If they did, Tannehill would be a 3rd string QB, Kellen Moore and Tim Tebow would be starters.

Smith has already wowed some guys like Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Archie Manning, Drew Brees, and Jeff Garcia.
Let Smith throw in front of some scouts, and do some drills, and show what he can do.

I'm not saying he will be a 1st round pick or anything, just countering the argument that because the offense didn't look that good in some games means he won't have a shot.

Oh, and Thompson will be our starter, I don't think we will be too bad without Brett. It's not like Kirkgaard or Tommy Thorton will be the starter.
Maybe Smith is just waiting to see who the new coach is?

See, and maybe I'm the only one, but I'm not competley convinced with Thompson yet. The guy has had one full game, and he couldn't even pass for 200 yards in that game. I guess we'll see.

Good point.

I am high on Thompson because of what Gesser has said about him, and the fact that he has done well whenever he has had the chance, whether it was the AFA game, or spring ball.

I think he is going to be ready to go.

Had a intresting conversation with Adam Archeleta yesterday at the ASU game about Brett and even though he is a fan of Smith says he cant make the NFL throws as of now
