If SDSU wins a game in the Big Dance...

I will have to change my signature...I really don't want to do that.

I genuinely despise SDSU basketball and love to have my signature as a reminder that, as glorified as their basketball history is, they only have 3 NCAA Tourney wins, and the 1943 Wyo team won 3 games to win the NCAA Tourney.
Yes, Wyo basketball has not sustained the success Wyo once had, but we sure as shit have more than 3 wins in the NCAA Tourney.

Rant time....Hell, Utah and Boise St. have almost won as many BCS Bowls as SDSU has won Tourney games.
Bama has won as many BCS National Championships in football as SDSU has NCAA Tourney games.
Apples to oranges with the football talk?

Weber State has twice as many NCAA Tourney wins as SDSU.
Alcorn State, Ball State, Central Michigan, Chattanooga, Tulane, and a few other teams have just 3 wins in the NCAA Tourney, same as the great SDSU.

Okay...rant off

Anyone else despise SDSU hoops as much as I do?

Nah....I respect Steve Fischer. He's done an incredible job turning SDSU into a giant.

Besides...hard to brag about things that happened many decades ago. SDSU has a ton of students/bandwagon fans who do not care about what Wyoming did 30-60 years ago. Its statute of limitations has run out. Only way to shut them up is beat and make noise in the MWC. Like New Mexico did today....

Well we may not have made to much noise in the conf race this year, but we knocked SDSU on their butt this year.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't we won 2 of the last three against "The Great" SDSU?
It's funny, I still remember when they were the bottom feeder of the WAC and early MWC, barely getting over 10 wins, if that.
I'm curious to see if they will be able to sustain a winning tradition once losing Fisher when he finally retires.

This isn't about what wyo has or hasn't done j-rod...this is about the "giant" only having a grand total of 3 ncaa tourney wins. ky point is thar greats or giants dont only have 3. Butler won 10 in a two year stretch.

wow if they didn't make the NIT they were taking their ball and going home, that's pathetic, cry babies anyway

Not sure about BSU, but UNLV's "powers that be" said they would not participate in a "pay to pley" tourney like the CBI or CIT. They didn't see the value in playing in a tournament that was going to cost them money ($30,000 to $60,000 to host the game in front of really small crowds). While it's nice to get your kids an opportunity to play in the post season, other than an extra game or two of experience, I don't see much upside to either of these two tournaments. :twocents:

when you put it that way I guess I understand, experience is experience that's how i look at it...I'd love to see the Boys one more time at home, that's not gonna happen
PS: i have SDSU to the Elite 8 losing to Creighton, call me crazy
