If I were a betting man...my money is on the NM Bowl

The New Mexico Bowl -- that's the easy betting part. But against who? That's the harder part.

My hunch would be UNR. I hope to be wrong, and we get Fresno or Idaho.

I think whatever WAC team we get should be a pretty good match-up. I don't think any of the possible 3 WAC teams has a good enough passing attack to make us worry ala BYU. Fresno and especially Nevada are strong running teams. We have struggled to stop the run some this year, but it hasn't cost us nearly as bad as our inability to stop good throwing teams.

CSU (the last-place MWC team) beat Nevada (2nd place WAC) handily. Granted things were a lot different at the beginning of the season and I don't think you can read too much out of that result. It's worth noting though.

I think any one of them would be a good match-up and a good game.

I am not as sure now as I once was about us going to the New Mexico Bowl. You would think with how close it is to Wyoming that this would be the case .

But......... because of the fact that the MWC did not fill ALL of their bowl allotments this means that the New Mexico Bowl as well as the Armed Forces Bowl does NOT have to pick a MWC team . From what I have been hearing is that Air Force does not want to go back to the Armed Forces Bowl because they have been there the last couple of years and they would rather go to the New Mexico Bowl and with the fact that Air Force fans are actually even closer to New Mexico than Wyoming is, this very well could happen.

Sounds like there is a good chance Wyoming might end up in the Humanitarian Bowl against Idaho .

Who knows , I guess we will find out by this Sunday evening i'm sure where we are headed.

I hope so. I made travel plans today, as I will be deployed for the next week. Bought the travel insurance in case it ends up being Fort Worth or Boise. Would much prefer the NM Bowl.

Tickets are the last thing I need. Someone posted that UW was adding some 25.00 processing fee? Anyone have an idea what this is for?

FYI, I doubt I will be up for it but the Lobos host Creighton after the bowl game in the pit.

Go Pokes!
