If Burman truly is flying to Detroit via commercial

Not sure why Clawson would leave Bowling Green for Wyoming.....at best it is a lateral move, but more likely a step in the wrong direction for him. I see him getting a much better job in the next year or so. Plus he is beating No. Illinois tonight and if things hold, that will be a huge win for his program.

His money (guaranteed pay) for both he and his assistants is better than Wyoming's pay:

We could do worse than Clawson, but I just don't see him coming to Laramie and the mess that is the University of Wyoming - no president, a bunch of 100 year old Board of Trustee members that still think they are living in 1935, an AD that is in way over his head, and a dwindling fan base that is getting to the point where they just don't care anymore. Clawson might be on Burman's Christmas wish list, but Tom's about to find out there is no Santa Claus.

TB is willing to pay Clawson more than he did DC? What in Clawson's record justifies a decision like that? If TB is really going after him, there will definitely be growing pains...and I for one am not patient enough for another 5 years of growing pains. Nothing about Clawson to Wyoming makes any sense what-so-ever. Maybe someone can clear it up for me?

I have been off and on...so, this one game is all the justification necessary to proclaim Clawson the savior of Wyoming Football? I don't see it...

I will be very... very disappointed if we end up hiring Clawson. Remember he was the offensive coordinator when we beat Tennessee. I was not impressed.

It was one year. And isn't he a spread guy? Glenn ran pro style his entire time here.

Clawson is a very very good coach and has turned every program around he has been at. Some of you might want to read up a little more on him.

Don't worry though, I do not think Clawson would come to Laramie as it really doesn't make any sense for him to.

I'll say it again...going after this guy make absolutely no sense what-so-ever!!! This guys has been the head coach of 157 games and has a whopping 51% winning record. If this doesn't scream mediocre, then I don't know what does....

Well I doubt it is Clawson so I wouldn't be too worried about it. Also if Burman did leave town who said he went to Detroit? I never saw that posted anywhere. Just saw that Burman left town, how do we know where he went? Or do we?

Sadly, it's a better record than our last three coaches...

Actually, we know do-do squat. The absence of hard news makes for all sorts of rumors, guesses, and downright silly conjectures. Welcome to the world of coach search.

Read the SI article. He was building all of those programs literally from scratch. And look at the trend line at each of those gigs. Not just about overall w/l, improvement matters.

Just looking at the overall record of each doesn't say much. Look at it at a year by year record. The guy, other than a 1 and done at Tennessee as OC, has had to build programs up, and when he gets a chance to build them, he wins.
Fordham he started off winless, but ended up having 7 or more wins 3 years in a row. Richmond, other than the first year, finished above .500. BGSU, rode a senior laden team to 7-6, next year was rebuilding, and since has been improving his record. Has the top scoring defense in the MAC.

He's a program builder. That often involves a losing season or 2, but gradual improvement to winning. His record CLEARLY shows it.

Although I don't want Clawson I disagree that coming to Wyoming would be a worse move for him. The MWC is considered a notch above the MAC. Wyoming is a much better known program. I doubt many of you can even name what state Bowling Green is in.... and if you do you know they are very small potatoes in their own state compared to other programs. Come to Wyoming where you are the ONLY show in the state.
