If Bowl Season was today...ESPN has Pokes bowlin'

Wake Forest.....blah. Hope the options improve as the season goes on, but of course lets not get ahead of ourselves. Its a long season and Wyoming is notorious for mid/late season collapses.
 
These guys have no respect for BSU sad. WI is a NC caliber team and imo they will be top 3 at the end of the season.

The MWC is terrible. Plain and simple. Its BSU and those other 8 teams. As good as the Broncos are, they simply don't play anyone. ANY BCSNCG hopes they have rest with Georgia. They need them to win the SEC East.

Well I think it's going a little overboard to say it's terrible and on top of that they have no MWC team outside of the Vegas Bowl an they have TCU marked for that. So these guys are confused and need to research more.

As well the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl is a higher rated bowl that the Vegas Bowl and they have Wyoming going there. It really just shows they know nothing about the Mtn West. I don't discredit Wyo at all I'm sure we could make it there but BSU will be in a higher rated game likely to be the Fiesta Bowl.

Agreed.....the bowl scenarios are mixed up to say the least. Notice neither New Mexico Bowl projection includes a Pac-12 team? Fail.

Oklahoma being in the NC game would be a tragedy. Its so obvious they'd get killed by whoever they play.

The Independence Bowl is for the #3 MWC team, which if Boise St were to go to a BCS game then it could potentially go to the #4 MWC. I don't think it is too unrealistic to think Wyo could finish 4th by either finishing ahead of AFA or SDSU. It looks like we may be able to move the ball without turnovers this year so maybe our stretch of losing close games due to bad turnovers to AFA will finally end this year. The neat thing about the Independence bowl is that it's the day after Christmas so a lot of people will be watching it, and it has the best payout of any of the MWC tie-in bowl games. The Vegas Bowl (#1 MWC) pays $1.1 million, Pionsettia (#2) $500k, Independece Bowl (#3) pays $1.15 million, NM Bowl (#4 or #5) $750k, Armed Forces Bowl (#4 or #5) $600k.

What a screw job playing in the Pionsettia, #2 MWC team gets the worst payout. Although it would be hard to make the Independence Bowl, I would love it if Wyoming made that game, lots of exposure and $.

Back to reality, we really need to be ready for a tough Aggie team this weekend. I hope the extra week does us good. I can understand why we open as road dogs, they have played well. I still think/hope we go in there and get a tough road win.
 
I personally would rather go back to the New Mexico Bowl. How many fans could we bring to the Independence Bowl? I know I probably oculd not make that.
