Even rumors.

I hear it is a done deal and that Burman spent the past week putting the buyout money together.

I also hear Burman is safe.

I don't see a DC lead team beating Florida Atlantic next season, but we could still get 2 wins somewhere.

Isn't FAU the school where they fired their coach because he was involved in a drug scandal? If so, they could be in complete disarray AND they come to Laramie. I'd chalk that up as a "W".
 
Next years schedule is an ugly one.....toughest in some time. No matter who the coach is next season, a bowl-eligible win total will be tough to reach. I agree with BP though....if DC returns, it will be Glenn's 2008 swan song but worse.

Wonder if UW will add a 13th game because it plays @Hawaii.

Carl Pelini was fired with cause and FAU went on to win four of their last six and became bowl eligible.

I am betting we add another FCS (but a crappy one unlike Montana)

They should if they can afford to pay another team to come to Laramie. Or leverage a road game for a 2 for 1 with a MAC school.

That's the school. And after firing their coach for the drug scandal they won every game (4 in a row) and are now bowl eligible. Sometimes it's good to get rid of a coach... With their brand new stadium on campus their recruiting success will continue. I attended the game we played them a few years back and their "stadium" was miles away from campus in a facility built for high school games. It was a recruiting coordinators night mare. Their new stadium is beautiful, at least from seeing it in pictures and on TV this past Saturday. It should be a perfect storm, beautiful campus in Boca Raton, new stadium, new coach, maybe a bowl game, lower academic standards, they schedule some big boys (Miami, Auburn and South Florida this season). They might start getting dangerous.
 
Yeah Wyo will probably add another home game next season.
Normally I would say HELL NO to another FCS school, but with a new coach, a weak team to beat up on and figure the system out more might be exactly what we need.

But with 13 games we would need to be 7-6 to go bowling.
And with 2 FCS teams, we can only count 1 of those FCS games to go bowling.
So unless the Pokes lose to 1 of the FCS schools, 7-6 won't cut it.
8-5 is what they need to do I think.
