Idaho @ Wyoming game thread

Love the unis!

Totally agree. These should be our standard home option. I have been waiting for these for many years.

Loving how we our backs look between the tackles.

Really don't like the fact they are moving the ball at will, I know the game is over but I'd prefer a shutout.

I expect more from the defense then to just give up and let Idaho march down the field. After seeing them refuse to give up in Nebraska this is a disappointing ending.

I agree to take Smith out no reason to risk him when there is nothing there.

Well, our defensive line does look pretty impressive. Very happy with their play, even though it was against a worse team.

Just got back, and man was it nice to see an actual defense! Offense had some issues early (butterfingered recievers), but after the first fumble recovery, they started rolling.

From the Daily Oklahoman....

22,030 for the opener. Man! I was only 630 off. Good crowd and a great showing. I hope the fans are happy with a non let up game. And don't try to use the end as an argument we put in most of our second team. Yarbrough with 4 sacks today, I think. Wacha's name called all day today. Herron over 120 yards receiving. Ruffran 3 Tds. Wick 115 yards on the ground. Smith just under 300 yards passing 4 Tds and 1 int. also smith had 60 yards on the ground!

Only thing is, we gave up a lot of sacks. I know they blitzed the edge a ton, but jeez.

Still, 42-10, with the 10 coming in garbage time and getting the second string valuable playtime? I'll take it.

It wasn't just the receivers that were butterfingered, Smith was off with his throws quite a bit too in the first quarter.

Also, a little disappointed at how greedy Brett got on his interception. I know it doesn't really matter, but I'd way prefer him taking care of the ball no matter what the situation is. I'm sure he's not too happy about it either, though.

Some throws were off, but ones that weren't and were right on the money, the recievers dropped them.

I'll agree on the INT, though. He should have ran it instead.

Ugh, I have really bad memories from last time we had a weather delay.

I did too. I was at that New Mexico game. If I remember right, the announcer said something like, "Lightning in the area, everyone evacuate the stadium."

Yesterday, they just asked everyone to go stand underneat the stadium. Many more fans returned for this game than they did in the 2007 game. And I'm sure glad it didn't turn out like the 2007 New Mexico game - we were playing good before the lightning delay. The game restarted and New Mexico had become very inspired.

20/20 is hindsight, and I agree with you. However, thinking about it, I'm glad he threw the ball instead of trying to get himself hurt. I think he should have just thrown it away.
