Meh...0-star recruits or 5-star recruits...it only matters what happens on Saturdays. If you had no idea what any recruiting ranking was coming into college...what would you say the Wyoming WR were?

5 Star recruits turn into good players more often than 0 Star ones. The star ratings don't say who the player will become, it's an estimation of how talented they are before college. You still have to coach and teach them, and some players just don't have "it."

However, we're doing fine with many of our other higher rated players, so why can't we realize the talent of our receivers?

Agreed...I'd rather have higher rated recruits than lower rated.

My guess on the current WR woes is that this is one of those cases where the star rating is not translating into results ... for whatever reason.

Once again, Idaho could't stop a division II team last week, but apparently our offense is easier to figure out how to stop. Mizzou simply had the disadvantage of having to play us Week 1. Texas State had the previous week's game tape, and now in week three, even a terrible FCS team has figured us out.
