Ian Watts named starting PK

Ian Watts has been named the starting placekicker. I say what the hell, no way he can be any worse than what we have. Rumor at the beginning of the season was that 2 walk-on kickers joined the team. I wonder who the other one is.

I'll take "named starting pk" with a grain of salt. A crappy game and we're back to open tryouts.

yeah..this guy started the kickoff for the 2nd half against texas, it came to about the 20 yd line...way short.

Can I have my eligibility back yet? lol.... I have not been impressed with this guy in practice from what I have seen. To bad Landess could never come back from injury, he had the leg.

So if I were to put together my starting kickers from what we have:
Kickoff: Austin McCoy
PK: Jake Scott
Punt: Austin McCoy

At least Watts isn't going to be handling kickoffs and 40 yards is probably the longest we will attempt (if his kickoffs against TX are a reflection of his leg).

...but seriously (according to the paper) we are starting a true freshman whose dad called the coach this summer to see if his son could walk-on, who didn't even start practicing until school started.
