I will be eating my words, hat, and optimism now

I knew how bad we looked going into the NM game, but honestly thought after looking at the stats, the change at QB, and getting Stewart in the lineup that we would snap out of it a little. I wasn't expecting a complete 180, but I did expect the offense to get something done.

In all honesty I am now shocked and appauled. We were bad under Vic Koenning, but at least we scored, we lost a lot of games by a touchdown or less and we scored points with some frequency. To get shutout in 2 conference games already (no matter the opponent or reason) with 5 MWC and Tennessee left to play is unexcusable. I like Joe Glenn as a guy, but I hate him for making me compare him to Clueless Vic. It is now going to be a very long fall. Luckily the Broncos won yesterday because after the Cubs acted like, well the Cubs, and the Pokes played like, well the Pokes of recent, I might have been apt to committ sports suicide.

My appologies for the optimism on this board recently, I doubt you will have to be subjected to much more of that from me this season. On a positive note, but for a very horrible reason that means McP is buying beer this weekend right?

I am buying beer...yes...I will be true to my word. For all of WyoNation.

Worst football I have ever seen has been being a UW fan this year.

Oh, and on a positive note (for me) I think One Smooth is splitting the tab!

There is no crime in being optimistic, I'm as guilty as anyone and probably more than most. Before the season started I bought into the hype that this would be the year...finally. And proceeded to let all my negative co-workers and pessimistic friends and relatives know that Poke football is back to not just respectability but a top three MWC potential finisher.

Now I'm eating my words and I hate it. I hate the way I feel about this program. I thought I would never have to feel this way again once we eliminated Koening and his coaching staff. And then Cockhill comes to Laramie and is fingered as the new scapegoat for our mediocrity. So we get rid of him and hire Cole. And now what?

And to add fuel to the fire, we are getting worse each week. Without any major injuries, we are running out of excuses. I cannot figure out how we got this bad. And to exacerbate my suffering, I'll still go to homecoming this weekend.
