I was wrong about the great tom burman

So just because Burman said we were going to win Moutain West championships you shouldn't point out that we haven't won any since he has been AD. In fact he fired the only coach who won two of them. Pointing out facts just muddies the water. There were many of us who thought McClain was a "good" coach (notice I did not say great) and knew something was wrong when Burman hired his buddy from Portland State when Heath had resigned to go back to being an assistant coach -- saw the writing on the wall that the players he inherited who performed fairly well as seniors needed to be replaced and he would have a lot of work to do and realized it would probably take a few years so better get to greener pastures while the fan base thought well of him. In any case, McClain was fired.
And finally wyoming fishing, you probably will find much friendlier ears over in Cheytown for any criticism of Burman. I haven't heard any word on how many season tickets have been sold for FB yet; guess several more "promotions" might replace those sold to Nebraska fans last year.

You say Burman admitted a mistake in hiring Heath and that he has moved on. No, he didn't move on, he is still here. I think most other institutions would have fired Burman for destroying its BB program but I guess being a home town boy probably played a big role in his still being here.
You also said something about a list for AD. Well, we could maybe have hired a guy named Graham who seems to have been able to get most all of his institutions football games for this fall on TV without the help, or hindrance, of the conference.
