I was wrong about the big cheese

I have to say I was very impressed with the side show before the game started, the smoke in the tunnel before the team runs out, my charcoal BBQ could make more smoke than that. I like the red lights that were on top of the video board. I am sure I can get the same thing at any local radio shack. I am glad the, big cheese has found a new way to waste money. More people will come to the games if they put a bronze statue of burman up, all burman fan club members can get there picture taken, with it before a game. I think by the santa barbara game maybe fans, should bring there christmas trees to the game, who ever has the best looking tree gets free tickets for life. I guess when we stop playing highschool team, some of us will find what kind of team we have, people in the big cheese burman fan club will not understand this.I hope with budget cuts in near future I don't lose my wallet to burman. :rofl:

I agree lets get Tom Burman out of here! Only sporting a top 25 wrestling team and a top 30 basketball team, a recent coach of the year in the MWC in football, 2 bowls in the last 4 years, and our volleyball team is only kinda good, and and and.....

I'm not trying to be mean or anything but have you ever considered playing "see how much my wrists bleed in the bathtub"?
 
This is a rather naive post. The effects add a lot to the game experience. These are things other schools were doing 10 years ago and we are behind. I'd say throw a bunch more money at this sort of stuff. I can't wait for the LONG overdue upgrade to the AA. Burman also does excellent work. I can't think of any other AD we've had over the last 30 years that has done better. Paul Roach?--didn't he lose Brandenberg and hire some chump named Benny Dees to destroy basketball? Shyatt was an otherworldly hire. There's no way Wyoming should have been able to land him. DC is another outstanding hire as many other schools wanted him (and I contend he is following the exact same path as Joe Tiller). He's managed to keep Legerski and an outstanding wrestling program.

+1 I actually think Burman has been a pretty solid AD all the programs are on the rise, we have facilities upgrades everywhere and have two teams that are close to the top 25 with others that are continually winning.
 
Dude, why all the hate, support the team and better things will come from it. You're one of those fans that sits on his hands the whole game and looks for all the negative things...come on man Support
 
I think we've already established that Burman has either

A. Fucked Wyoming fishing's mom/wife or both

B. teased Wyoming fishing in high school
 
I'm not sure why anyone gives wyoming fishing the time of day. He is yet to make one post that isn't oddly focused on Tom Burman. I'd only add option C to LAX's post

C. wyoming fishing's advances were declined by Tom Burman
 
The only thing Burman did that was extremely fucked up was the Schroyer extension (I could argue he should be fired for that), for that matter he did a poor job hiring schroyer in the 1st place ( lets get rid of the only coach who won a mwc championship & replace him with a POS). Otherwise the Shyatt & Branch hires are good, and the DC hire looks at least decent.
 
To all burman fan club members, tell me why the big cheese made such a mess of the men's basketball program, the only way he can try to fix the program is, by hiring the coach that Lee moon hired, I know all burman fan club members will pat Tom on the back if we make the great CBI. We have not made real post season! since moon was here. Two bowl games for burman in seven years, great job! before the next home game with the smoke in the tunnel, maybe fans should bring smoke bombs to the game! I think anyone off the street could do a better job than the big cheese

A couple of comments. As I have posted before I have not been impressed by TB. Have to agree with the comment regarding firing a two time conference championship winner for the POS TB brought in. Disagree with the comment that was the really only major screw up TB has made. I see his handling of the DC situation after the Air Force game as a major screw up. Sure appears that TB left DC with the impression that after their meeting together that things were settled and then after talking with the big donors he changed his mind and suspended and fined DC. I would not be a bit surprised that if DC should have a good year next year to see him gone; I doubt that he has much trust in TB's word anymore.

I know a lot of people here did not like Lee Moon but I often wonder what our athletic program would be like if he had received the extra millions in state funding that TB has been receiving. Maybe Moon wasn't the greatest person but to me he ran the athletic department like a business and I don't believe he ever had promotions that under cut season ticket holders; i.e., offering reduced priced season or special package tickets at least than the per game price to season ticket holders. I have to give Moon credit that at least at BBall games he was visible and sat with and talked with the fans in the area where he sat and on the way in and out of the stands. I also give him credit that in BBall we at least played more good OOC teams and I don't think we had those few lower division games we did play count on our record. I know many on here argue that upgrades in facilities and making the arena look "sexier" is what brings in the fans. I disagree. Guess at one time I attended with the idea of seeing the Cowboys/Cowgirls win another one but in my later years I only attend select games hoping to see a good competitive game. Oh, I love to see the Cowboys/Cowgirls win such games but I no longer am as upset at a loss especially if we played well and put out a good effort.
