I was watching the game Saturday and the cameras

keep showing the home side of the stadium where most of the people were sitting,

I unfortunately when to sleep, I live on the East Coast, but were there many fans on the other side of the stadium?

There is no 'home' side of the stadium. I think you are referring to the East side which is the student section on the lower level. Both sides were about equally as full although quite a few students left early.

Personally, I like the East side better by a long shot because the West side often feels like a funeral rather than a football game.

Don't kid yourself. Upper deck of the east side is pretty stodgy. I moved to the west side a few years ago because of it.

I haven't been up there too much other than to use the restroom and get in the much shorter beer line. To me it's just easier and more enjoyable to sit on the lower level East side.
