NDSU is the most successful college football program over the last 50 years. Coaches come and go but they all win there. Can't say the same for Wyoming.

My soccer team went undefeated through Division 5 this year after losing only 2 last season and going undefeated the year before in Division 6.

You know how much I brag about this?

Congrats to Wyo on the big win from NDSU fans. Craig & Co. is the real deal and we wish you all the best of luck from ND. Both NDSU & WYO with great wins tonight. Go Bison & Go Pokes
Thanks for you words of support and let's hope for 6 in a row for NDS.

The funniest thing about this is Bohl is gone if the Cowboys win the MWC and you guys don't even know it.
That's the funniest thing? Of everything in the entire world, that's the funniest thing?

Seriously though, this has already been discussed recently in another thread. If you were a Wyoming fan who frequents this board, you would have known that. So your ignorance is expected and forgiven. If Bohl leaves, more power to him. One thing I can absolutely guarantee is that he's not looking for the first P5 conference job offer and jumping at it. There are many P5 programs that would probably like to have him, but many of them are as big of a mess or moreso than what he walked into here.

Now, if he takes us to the MWC title and Nebraska were to offer him (they won't, but if they did), we'd not only throw him a going away party, but a bunch of us would help him pack house.

2011bisonalumni isn't worth responding to. Strommer10 is the kind of NDSU fan that Coach Craig Bohl would be happy to be associated with.

In regards to the OP, I'm a bit in the same boat. After last year, I couldn't fathom what was building. I stated a few weeks back, I have full trust in this staff and am just enjoying the ride from here on out. Even more proud of the University than normal today! And, since I'm in an extra good mood (albeit hungover), I have to give Burman some props for the hire and yesterday's groundbreaking. He's got a lot of work to do in my opinion, but damn it's great to be a Cowboy fan today!

I could be wrong but I don't think Bohl is going anywhere for awhile. I say that only because he truly seems to love Wyoming on a personal level. It fits him personally and if that makes him happy, then I doubt he goes some place he doesn't have the same feelings for. He has the chance to be the big dog of the MWC and with the new facilities upgrades, he will find things much nicer at Wyoming than some lower level P5 job.

He just isn't going to take any P5 job. He had other options deemed better than Wyoming while in Fargo but he stuck around that place for longer than many figured until the Wyoming job came open. I think there are only a handful of jobs that seem natural fits for him. I think B1G West jobs like Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin fit the bill but what of those jobs will be come open in the near future? None! I could see him possibly at Kansas State after Bill Snyder retires but outside of that, I don't see any jobs that fit his perceived profile. Please don't say places like Purdue, that just don't seem like a good fit at all. Tiller had connections to Purdue.

Well, Minnesota might be looking soon...

Aren't they 6-2? And would they go for a coach who is approaching 60? Would any P5 program? This is why I think Bohl sticks around.

Hope I am not wrong.

Outside of Nebraska, Minnesota is pretty much the only other place I worry he'd leave Wyoming for. Don't know if the timing is right for him to make the move now though.

And while Minnesota has a good record, they struggled to beat an awful Rutgers program. There is a definite negative perception around here about the program right now. I think there might be greater than a 50/50 chance there's a coaching change depending on how they finish the year, and Bohl has enough regional name prestige that I think he might be considered for the job like he was in 2007. Which would suck.

I thought it was funny when the Bison got housed by South Dakota State a couple weeks ago.

Minnesota is 6-2, so Claeys isn't going anywhere (more likely to get an extension). Sure things may not be pretty when they win but they are winning none the less (that can be said for many good B1G programs). Minnesota fans can't get to greedy in expecting a better "staff" than what they have now.

Again, I just don't see any good fit for Bohl to leave Wyoming outside of possibly Kansas State in the near future.

Literally one of the worst FBS program of all times.

This seems like you are basing your comments on a lack of information.

While I would not be surprised to see Coach Bohl take another job if the right situation presents itself, I do not believe that the University of Wyoming ever approached "one of the worst FBS programs(sic) of all times.

In all fairness, we at Wyoming do understand some of the resentment you must feel toward the program that your own iconic coach moved on to. We have been down that road way too many times ourselves. Personally, I still cannot find it in myself to wish success for any team Dennis Erickson coaches.

Some of us have already thought about that. Not quite sure why it is so funny though?

You guys blasted him before even realizing what he what building. Literally one of the worst FBS program of all times and their fans crucify a guy who knows how to win football games. You'll taste a season, maybe two of sucess, and it will be mediocrity again. Personally I find humor in it.
You are the douchiest asshole who's ever posted here. You live in North Dakota, shittiest state in the USA, I find that funny.

Seriously. Stanard has been awesome. He's done a great job, especially considering the loss of Granderson. Color me surprised. Kudos

So?

Why not throw money at a younger coach like PJ Fleck? Who knows, maybe Bohl might be pursuaded with a lot of cash. Funny thing is many of the struggling P5 programs aren't a rich as many think.

Time will tell.

Go Pokes!!!
