I want the NDSU AD.

So like he said...Something to be applauded.
But you are FCS.

The money is not there like it is in FBS.
College athletics is a money game, plain and simple.
You don't have the money you don't compete with the best.
Sure NDSU is the best of the FCS but it is still D2, or JV, or whatever you want to call it.
 
The Capital One cup standings are very skewed. They rate all sports across the board, except they give points for FBS AND FCS football. Meaning that NDSU got as many points as Florida State and more than Auburn, Alabama, etc. That doesn't provide a very accurate gauge...can you say statistic manipulation! Not only that, but if you look at the Learfield Sports Director's cup, which is a very similar ranking, NDSU is #79 in D1 and #10 of FCS teams. Just goes to show that 2 polls with the same goal, can use statistic manipulation to show whatever they want.

Square up your britches and cinch the saddle guys. Listen the fact of the matter is Gene Taylor accomplished more with less than our AD ever dreamed of. Bottom Line, we need some fresh blood here. McGinty is a second rate step in candidate for a rejected leader. The Board of Losers that is the directive force of our University really don't care about our sports program and until something changes I don't see much of a change in the W column at UW. Hell, we're all passionate fans on this board, but bashing NDSU guys for being a notch below us after comparing their tradition and accomplishments to ours is simply ridiculous. They would have kicked our ass last year in football, and most likely beat us at home with Nance on the court. I also think they played in regionals in the NCAA baseball tourney at the D-1 level. And if memory serves me right, they whipped us on the mat too. Burman, is a marked man and as long as he sits in his office developing 3rd grade strategies, well I'll just bitch about him and our old boy retards leading us to the edge of the abyss.
 
I don't think anyone is bashing....people just stated that it was a lower level. I agree they have had success.....but some of the NDSU folks can get under your skin. :twocents:

For the record I think he has done a great job....

Totally agree here - good post. By the way, did anyone else see the letter to the editor in the Sunday (the 15th) Casper Star by Dick Sadler who I believe is (or was) one of our esteemed state legislators? It was on page A9, bottom left, entitled "Better fit with smaller schools". This is what we are dealing with as far as our state legislators and leaders (and our board of losers). They have absolutely no vision for the future.
If this happened, NDSU would trade places with us in a heartbeat.
 
Jeez folks, get a clue. All of NDSU sports are DI. They complete at the DI level in T&F, Wrestling, Basketball, BB, SB, everything, the same as any MWC school. The only sport that is FCS if football, and NDSU could have completely kicked ass in the MWC last year in FB. NDSU finished with a 15-0 record, and was ranked 17 in the Sagarin and 29 in the final AP poll of all college FB. NDSU would complete, right now, in every sports in the MWC, don't kid yourself. I"m not saying NDSU would be invited, just saying they have very strong programs and would be competitive in all sports in the MWC, especially FB. If you don't think so, then you would need to pull your head out of the sand.

NDSU's gap is budget and BB arena. $42 million BB arena will open in 2016, and total budget should be upto $25 million by then. Budget has gone from $5 in 2005 to approaching $20 in 2014. If NDSU declares for a FBS football move, they would strengthen a conf like the MWC.

NDSU is developing into a regional instituion, with strong support and TV viewers W. MN and Twin Cities as well as ND. NDSU's primary recruiting areas are ND, MN, WI, SD, NE, IL, IA. NDSU span goes beyond Fargo.

But we here at Wyonation don't give a crap about NDSU. lakesbison and company have made sure of that, if not made some of us come to hate NDSU if for no other reason than NDSU fans keep coming on here and posting about NDSU and trying to make conversations that have nothing to do with that school, about it.

Also, no reason to necro-bump an old thread.

Good for you . . . thanks for your pettiness on hating NDSU. I guess I don't have any reason to hate WYO, and generally root for you. So there :)

Your board, however, did need some education on what it means to be DI. Every one of NDSU's sports plays at the same level and for the same championship as WYO, with the excpetion of FB. Some of you clearly do not understand that. Schools are not FBS or FCS, Football is.

I don't hate NDSU, I just don't care about it. I can't speak for everyone here, but there it is.
