I visited the CSU board earlier today

Do businesses set up in urban areas because of employee talent? Obviously some need the customer base but things like tech or manufacturing don’t. There’s the internet so I don’t get why they’d need to be in urban center.

Most tech businesses still prefer to have in-person meetings. I'd work from home at least a couple of days a week if it wasn't for that. I wish management across the field weren't so damn stubborn about that, though. In some places it's almost like it's a point of pride to have a filled office rather than a force that at least partially works remotely.

Imagine how much better Denver traffic would be if everybody with a computer-based job could work from home even 1 day a week!

On top of that, I'm WAY more productive when I get to just shut the world out and put my head down and crank away. Yes, team interactions and bouncing ideas back and forth really helps prevent mistakes, but like with everything else, there's a balance. Oh well, maybe one day?

Well, one of them is not city life I can tell you that.

Clemson itself? No, you are correct.

However, Clemson is only 30 miles from Greenville, SC and right in the middle of a metro area of over 800,000 people...all within a closer drive than Cheyenne is to Laramie.

Mic drop.

800k witihin 45 miles? Sounds pretty urban to me.

Why anyone would want to live in an urban area without being forced to is beyond me.
I literally hate living in Denver.
+1. Laramie is the perfect distance from "civilization". Any time I'm in traffic on I-25 I want to self immolate. Laramie offers an awful lot for its size and when you need you "big city fix" it's close enough.
