I needed somewhere to post

I was tired of just looking at the boards without saying anything.

I was in Denver last night for the coaches get together at Invesco Field - it was really nice. All the coaches were there and the place was packed. Good to see.

I saw the tapes of the recruits, and the one thing I noticed was how fast some of the skill players were, especially Muhammed. (sp?)

The best play I saw was from TJ Smith - TE from Oklahoma - on a screen, he took a pass that was way over his head, caught it with one hand, and took it to the house. It was sweet.

Good to hear. I was also very impressed with both Muhammad and TJ Smith while watching film on the recruits. I really am a bit shocked that Muhammad didn't have some offers from some BCS schools. He is by far our biggest sleeper we signed this year. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if we see him on the field a lot as soon as this coming season. TJ Smith is a perfect fit as a tight end in Christensen's offense. We might see him on the field this year along with Salyards, depnding on whether or not Orlando Arnold pans out. I am hoping to see Arnold excel a bit more in Christensen's offense (at least more than he apparently did under Glenn).

Do we know yet who's coming back? Who's not?

I haven't heard anything.

I have heard that nobody has bailed out at this point, but there are a few players that are having some academic issues (that are expected to be resolved). Things will be much clearer March 24th.

This is surprising to me. Usually when there is a coaching change, players revolt, leave the team, generally are pretty upset.

The only time we really heard about it is when Stuz spoke up, but he piped down real quick. Maybe this says something about how the players feel they were coached. They all seem to be on board with Christensen and excited for the changes he is bringing.

Also, keeping English was an excellent move. A former defensive captain once told me that English was a much better coach than Breske, and had as much or more influence on the defense being as good as it was then Breske did.
