I miss not having a new NCAA Football game.

I still have the last one that was made, but neither Xbox nor Play Station have made them backwards compatible. Though apparently by 2020, there will be a college football game coming out. Though, it won't exactly be with the real schools.

Madden is okay, but I like running the triple option from the wishbone formation. And being either a defensive coordinator or offensive coordinator.

Anybody else miss it?

Yep, I miss the version were you start in a shitty dorm and than upgrade as you become a star. The option mechanics in the game were a joy to use. I wish they would just be able to pay players.

There is a new college game scheduled to come out in 2020. It will have fictional teams and mascots. However it's supposed to be fully customizable. So I'm sure in the first month of release teams and rosters would already be available for download. If the physics of the game are good it may get a good following.

That will be interesting and could lead to another lawsuit unfortunately. In the EA games there were no players numbers or names but the argument was that the players likeness was being used because they looked like the real players. Seems that a similar argument would apply to the knockoff that the makers were knowingly making a game that could be easily customized to use current players' likeness without compensation.

I would like to see the NCAA and representatives of the players reach some agreement where a fair portion of the video game money was distributed directly to the players, in fair shares, through the Universities. I would guess that about 99% of college football players want the game to return.

The game will be called gridiron champions and will not have NCAA in it's name. The makers of the game wouldn't be the ones to customize the likeness of teams or players, that would be up to the user. It's definitely the way to go if you want to avoid another lawsuit. All you need is a game that can represent the physics and playbooks in college football. Make it as generic as possible and let the community decide how they want to customize it.
