It's Boise St's fault really! When they agreed to join the MWC, it left a huge non-AQ BCS hole. Since BYU can't run the MWC table to a BCS bowl, they were going independent, but putting an agreement in place to beat up on the WAC like Boise St. has done. They saw Boise St's porridge and decided to taste. Hopefully their tongue get's burned.
