I heard there was some recruiting news

A friend of mine sent me a text message saying Wyo is stepping up the recruiting and may have some commitments. Can anyone provide some details? There is nothing on the UW football site. I don't know where else to look. Things seem really quiet.

It seems recruiting is picking up. We received a commit from Robert Benjamin, a All-American JUCO QB from Phoenix College, and Trendt Marsom a Safety from Hawaii. But this is about all I have heard. I'm sure we will start seeing a bunch of commits in the next few weeks and after the bowl games are done and we have a full staff.

Benjamin is a dual-threat QB and is expected to be here for spring ball. He threw for 2,000 yards and rushed for 400. He is probably on a level playing field with all of the other QBs now that a brand new system will be installed.

We are going to have a ton of QBs assuming there are no transfers. Hopefully HCDC can find one that can run his offense out of these guys:

I heard we offered Benjamin a scholarship and he committed to UW. Does he just have 2 years elgibility remaining?

I like his running ability more than his passing, but it does look like he sees the field and open receivers and reads defenses pretty well. We sure have alot of QBs on the roster now.

Two words... "Brad Smith". Prior to Chase Daniels rise in DCs offense it was Brad who racked up huge rushing numbers at Mizzou.
