I hate Pistol Pete and Memorial Stadium

Nice!

Montana has the inflate-a-bear.. he does the jumping on his head thing.. he can be pretty amusing. We have a "mini-Monte" (a 12 year old kid who loves being a mascot) who follows Monte around.. he likes to pick on the inflate-a-bear. Good fun... not that I care about mascots much.

There are a couple of good mascots, imo. I like the Syracuse orange and the Stanford tree. I'm not sure the tree still exists as a mascot but it was funny watching the tree wander around the field. Maybe we should have an oil derek or wind turbine for a mascot.

I know I'm in the minority, but I miss inflatable. Watching inflatable do the worm down the football field was hilarious.

The tree is the mascot for Stanford's band not Stanford's football team.
Years ago Stanford changed from "Indians" to the color cardinal because it's racist to use a human race as a team's pet. Syracuse had "Orangemen". That meant the Dutch people (race). The Dutch wear orange for their national uniforms and wave their orange flags. It was a race and they dropped "Orangemen" for the color orange.
