Holy crap! Wonder how his film looks. One would think that a kid this big that's only a junior has some major coordination problems.
 
Damn get that kid in a brown and gold (or grey ) uniform immediately! He can't be worse than sellers, haldorson, or Herndon....throw him a scholly...
 
The dude is TALL AS SHIT...but looks uncoordinated, slow, and fairly un-athletic. Watching the video his only shot is a dunk (only one he needs)...but I would put money on a guy like Nance being able to shut this kid down. He has no moves other than catching a lob pass at the rim (while standing freaking flat footed) and jamming it home. I wouldn't turn this kid down if I were Papa Shy and the kid wanted to be a Cowboy, but his game seems more limited than Cooke's.

I don't know if I'd go that far.... He hit his only free throw in that video... Cooke doesn't hit many free throws....
 
It was a highlight video...they may have shown the only one he made. Remember that Cooke hit a few of them. Cooke is also an athletic beast and can make a move or two down low. His kid has "reach up and grab the ball. Put it in the basket".
 
He looks to have a normal build for being that size. I wonder if he can't jump or if he doesn't because there is no need to. It will be interesting to see how the kid develops, but I don't know if I would want to see it happen at Wyoming.
 
I definitely agree he looks slooooooooooow but uncoordinated? I actually thought for a 7'5 scrawny high school junior, he looked very coordinated. But again...slooooooooooowww

I know I was completely joking...
 
This kid would develop under Shyatt and get better but honestly he kinda reminds me of New Mexico St.'s center who was also 7'5. By the time he got to his junior year or senior year he would be halfway decent but nothing special.

I honestly wouldn't waste a scholarship on him. He is way too slow and would get owned at the D1 level by the players in the MWC. He might be tall but that is all he is.
 
I think his best bet would be to go JC and see how he progresses in a year or two. That will give Dl coaches an opportunity to see his growth and maturity.
